I’m a technologist with over two decades of diverse experience across the IT landscape, spanning IT Infrastructure, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Automation, and Open Source solutions. My journey has crossed public sector giants, early-stage startups, and high-growth tech environments, enabling me to architect solutions that are both technically sound and business-aligned.
My Journey
I began my career at Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL), Bokaro Steel Plant after completing my engineering in 1992. In 1997, as a part-time hobby, I launched Bokaro’s first and only Bulletin Board Service (BBS) – effectively becoming a mini-ISP offering email and Usenet services via UUCP over dial-up, in an era when the Internet was still emerging in India.
Moving to Bangalore in 2000, I transitioned into roles as a Linux System Administrator and IT Manager, later co-founding Kavach Networks, where I led projects on infrastructure consulting, virtualization, perimeter security, and managed IT services for over 17 years.
Current Role
Head - DevOps and Cloud Transformation at Skillmine Technology (Jan 2023 - Present)
Providing strategic leadership and hands-on mentorship to in-house DevOps and Cloud Engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, automation, and continuous improvement. Accountable for architecting and delivering enterprise-grade, cloud-native platforms that are secure, scalable, and resilient.
